Wild Coast Power & HVAC has been providing temporary power & HVAC solutions for hydro shutdowns, scheduled repairs, emergencies, events and venues since 2006. As a licensed, bonded and insured electrical and gas contractor we are able to pull all the permits required for your temporary power and heating needs. We have in-house transportation with our fleet of 4x4 Pickups, Flatdeck Trucks, Hiab Crane Trucks, and Tractors for all sizes of equipment including transformers, heaters, air conditioners, cable, generators and distros.

We take care of all aspects of the job in-house: electrical permits, equipment delivery, noise bylaw permits, electricians, gas fitters, laborers, cabling and on-site refueling.

Projects

Temporary power for industrial operation while the client waited for their transformers to arrive. 2 x 500kVA 600V to 480V auto transformers fed from exisiting 600V Teck cables. Each auto transformer fed the customers 2 x 100A fused disconnects @ 460V. This allowed them to get their project underway while waiting for transformers that were delayed.

Temporary Power for a construction site. Equipment supplied: 1,200A-347/600V Outdoor Rated BC Hydro approved Metering Kiosk, 2 x 600A-600V I-Line Breakers with a large collection of breakers, 100+ Cam-Lok Tails and Various Lengths of #2 & 4/0 Cam-Lok. Services Provided: Electricians to Install Equipment, Permit, Wiring of Secondary Side of Client Owned PMT, Hiab Truck to Place Equipment on Site.

Temporary Power for a power outage of a long term care facility while BC Hydro pulled new primary 25kV conductors along the road. 800A @ 600V fed from our 1,000kW Generator with seperate 100A @ 600V feeds to various other areas of the building. Full service project including custom panel covers, install & removal.

Temporary power throughout 10 acre park for various events. BC Hydro supplied from central 2,000kVA substation via 600V over 10 acre park for a variety of uses from food vendors, to temporary lighting and live concert. Events include Canada Day, Kaleidoscope Music Festival and Various other Events.

A research Facility had a flood resulting in needing temporary backup switch gear and a backup generator. Equipment Supplied: Various I-Line Panels, 30+ I-Line Breakers, Various Lengths of #2 & 4/0 Cam-Lok, Multiple 400A Breakered Disconnects & 320kW Generator. Service Provided: Delivery & Placement of All Equipment, Assist Building Electrical Contractor to Plan Temporary Distribution, Provide 24/7 Emergency Support if equipment needed to be mobilized.

This downtown liquor store had a last minute planned Hydro outage on a busy long weekend. One call to Wild Coast Power & HVAC and we planned and delivered the cabling, cable mats and 56kW generator needed to keep them open. Our electricians did the install and removal early in the morning allowing them to keep regular hours and insuring no interruption to their operation.
